Sports media is constantly filled with debates, as each fan and analyst brings unique takes to conversations.
One of the most heated debates in the NFL is regarding the best quarterback.
Nick Wright detailed his “Quarterback Pyramid” in a recent segment of ‘First Things First’ on FS1, breaking down the position into twenty-eight spots and seven levels.

Wright put Patrick Mahomes at the top of his pyramid, outlining that he’s a cut above the rest.
Mahomes is widely viewed as the best quarterback in the league due to the instant success he’s found.
The next tier consists of Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence, both top prospects who have started to establish their place in the league.
Wright’s tiers mainly consist of current NFL quarterbacks, which include four rookies in tiers of their own.
As Wright points out, rookies remain ineligible on his pyramid until they play at least one game.
He does include Caleb Williams in the third tier, which also consists of Jalen Hurts and Josh Allen.
Williams hasn’t taken an NFL snap yet but is one of the highest-regarded prospects in recent history.
He’s drawn comparisons to many great quarterbacks, and Wright believes he’ll make an NFL impact right away.
Whether he’ll compare to Hurts and Allen remains to be seen.
The next few tiers are mostly in line with other analysts across the industry.
However, Wright did not include Desmond Ridder or Sam Howell on this list, who are both slated to be Week 1 starting quarterbacks.
How will those two fit in when they take over as full-time starters?
