LeBron James and Team USA faced their toughest challenge yet during the 2024 Paris Olympics in the semifinals against Serbia, when Nikola Jokic and his teammates gave them all they could handle and nearly pulled off the upset before the United States was able to advance to the gold-medal game to face France and Victor Wembanyama.

Serbia led almost the entire game and clearly looked like the better all-around team that day, with its players knocking down shots consistently and taking advantage of the mistakes made by Steve Kerr’s squad.

Fortunately for Team USA, it rallied in the fourth quarter and ultimately got the win, but it was a tense game that won’t soon be forgotten, considering how close the United States came to failing to play for the gold medal.

With the Americans now set to take on the French, Nick Wright of FOX Sports came up with a hot take about why Michael Jordan, who is long retired, has the most to lose in the upcoming gold-medal game.

“The person with the most to lose, assuming Team USA wins, is one Michael Jeffrey Jordan,” Wright said.

With Wright being a well-known LeBron James and Klutch Sports supporter, the outspoken pundit tends to find any way he can to bring Jordan into a debate in an attempt to hurt his legacy and elevate the G.O.A.T. credentials of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.

This is no different, as it doesn’t really make sense why Wright would bring up Jordan in this particular conversation, with him having stepped away as a player more than two decades ago.
