Of the 14 teams heading into the NFL playoffs this weekend, one team may have the most pressure to produce results in order to secure the job status of its head coach and coaching staff.
The Philadelphia Eagles were once considered the best team in the NFL during the 2023 campaign, as Jalen Hurts and company had won 10 of their first 11 games and seemed as resilient as any team in the league.
Unfortunately, the Eagles fell apart after dominating the competition throughout the first half of the regular season, with head coach Nick Sirianni and company looking like a completely different football team that couldn’t get anything done on either side of the football.
Even though the regular season’s second half has been a disaster for the Eagles, with the team losing five of its last six games, Philadelphia remains playoff-bound and will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road this weekend.
Nick Wright of FOX Sports believes that if the Eagles lose to Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers in the first round, Sirianni could be out of a job, via “First Things First.”

Despite leading the Eagles to the Super Bowl last season, in which the team barely lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, Sirianni potentially looking for another job during the offseason, as Wright suggests, could be right on the money, with the team being such a disappointment as of late.
The Eagles will need an inspired performance in order to advance and potentially save Sirianni’s job, as this matchup could be one of the best of Wild Card Weekend.
