The third time could be the charm for the Buffalo Bills.

For the third time in the Patrick Mahomes-Josh Allen era, these teams will square off in the AFC playoffs for a shot at glory.

Andy Reid’s team has had the last laugh in the two prior meetings, but the game will now be played at Highmark Stadium, and that’s no minor difference.

On top of that, the Bills are a team on the rise, while the reigning Super Bowl champions haven’t looked as sharp this season.

That’s why NFL analyst Nick Wright believes people shouldn’t sleep on Sean McDermott’s team this time, as they are “a team of destiny.”

“You guys are underrating the Bills right now. They’re a team of destiny. … This is the biggest game the Bills have played in 30 years. It is the 6th biggest game the Chiefs have played in the last 30 months.” — @getnickwright pic.twitter.com/bG9AosW6xQ

Talking on “First Things First,” he debated that this is the biggest game the Bills have played in the past 30 years, while it’s just the sixth-biggest game the Chiefs have played in the last 30 months.

One can only assume that the Chiefs are taking this playoff game as seriously as they should.

Nonetheless, Wright thinks this just means more for Buffalo, a team that has knocked on the door of Super Bowl contention for half a decade now.

The Bills haven’t made it to the Super Bowl since the 1993 season.

They reached that stage four times in a row, but they have yet to hoist the Vince Lombardi trophy even once.

Some think the Chiefs are worn out and going through the motions after two Super Bowl wins in four years, and perhaps they’re taking this for granted.

Will the Bills be able to make the most of that?
