The Los Angeles Lakers pulled off one of the most significant signings in NBA history in 2018 when they acquired LeBron James.
James is often regarded as the best basketball player of all time, and adding him to any team gives them a much better chance of winning.
The Lakers did win a championship during the COVID-19 bubble season, but beyond that, they haven’t gotten to the level of success that was expected.
As a result of the Lakers failing to meet expectations, there has been talk of James moving on from the team, both from esteemed analysts and from fans across the league.
Nick Wright is the latest to offer his opinion, which he laid out on “First Things First” on FS1.
“LeBron is better off leaving the Lakers,” Wright said, adding, “Any trust that you had in the organization has dwindled over the last few years.”

Wright believes that it could be in James’ best interest to leave Los Angeles.
In Wright’s mind, not only has the front office proven itself untrustworthy, but the team’s results haven’t been there.
James is a legendary player, and while he joined the Lakers to win more championships, as a whole, this team hasn’t been able to help him achieve his goals.
It will be interesting to see how the next few months play out.
James needs to make a decision by the June 29th deadline, giving both sides limited time to figure out what their next steps are, and how they will move forward.
