The Kansas City Chiefs have established themselves as a consistent Super Bowl contender.
With Patrick Mahomes as their leader, it seems that whenever he’s on the field, they have an above-average chance to win.
Despite their recent success, there is only one team that Nick Wright believes is a threat to the Chiefs this season.
According to Wright via ‘First Things First,’ when referencing the Bengals, he said, “That team is the only team that can be a threat.”
“There is no real threat to Kansas City. … But if I must pick a team, there are 2 human beings alive who have beaten Patrick Mahomes in a football game that matters — Joe Burrow and Tom Brady.”

As Wright mentions, Joe Burrow is the only active player to beat Mahomes in a meaningful game.
The Chiefs have appeared in five-straight AFC Championships, winning three of those games.
They lost to the Bengals in 2021 and lost to a Tom Brady-led New England Patriots in 2018.
Besides Brady and Burrow, there hasn’t been a quarterback that has stood up to the Chiefs during the Mahomes era.
Wright briefly discusses betting odds during this show as well.
While he believes the Chiefs should be a slight favorite over the field to win the AFC, they currently sit at +350, or 3-1 odds.
In this segment, Wright said that he’d gladly take those odds, as he believes that they’ll beat the Bengals, and mow down the rest of the conference.
The Chiefs have turned into a Patriots-like team in the eyes of many NFL fans.
They consistently find themselves in the AFC Championship, and Arrowhead Stadium has become home to multiple meaningful playoff games.
Can they continue this brilliance again in 2023, proving once again that they are the division’s top team?
