Stephen Curry has been one of the faces of the NBA over the past decade or so, and some have him as one of the 10 greatest players in NBA history.
He has led the Golden State Warriors to four NBA championships, and even at 36, he continues to play at an elite level, whether it’s for Golden State or for Team USA men’s basketball this summer.
But former NBA player Nick Young, who played with Curry and the Warriors during the 2017-18 season, feels Kyrie Irving is even better than Curry, and he claimed that people are “scared” to admit Irving is the better player, per NBACentral.

Curry’s superpower is his outside shooting, which has made him the greatest 3-point shooter in NBA history, not just because of his outstanding accuracy (he has shot 42.6 percent from downtown for his career), but also because of the degree of difficulty in his shots.
But Irving has been an excellent outside shooter in his own right — last season, he made 41.1 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc.
He is also almost as much of an overall scoring threat as Curry is with his career average of 23.6 points per game, including 25.7 points a game over the last eight seasons.
Both men are recognized as two of the biggest threats in crunch time, and both are also very adept at facilitating and setting up their teammates for open shots.
While the dynasty Curry’s team had is now over, Irving’s Dallas Mavericks are coming off an NBA Finals appearance and now have Klay Thompson, Curry’s backcourt mate for many years.
