There’s no denying that winning an NBA championship is perhaps the greatest honor a basketball player could ever dream of, even ahead of the Olympic gold medal.
Being a champion isn’t for everybody, and some players are overwhelmed with emotion when they join the elite list of champions.
That wasn’t the case with Nikola Jokic, though, as all the Denver Nuggets star was thinking was about going back home to chill already.

The Nuggets star has always marched to his own beat; he’s not like the average NBA superstar.
Jokic is a simple, down-to-earth kind of man who’d rather be back home with his horses and his family instead of hitting the club or partying in parades.
He’s a hard-working player and an example of determination to get better and get in shape to reach his true potential, but he’ll then want to head home and watch some movies with his wife.
Money and fame haven’t changed Jokic in the slightest; he’s still the same simple and humble young man he was when he got drafted during a Taco Bell commercial and who didn’t even care enough to stay awake during the NBA Draft.
Who would’ve thought that late-round pick out of Serbia would go on to become the greatest player in Nuggets history and one of the best, most dominant big men in the history of the game?
