Over the past few years, superstar Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets has turned a lot of heads around the NBA, with the Serbian player proving to be the real deal and quite possibly the best player in the league today.

Although Jokic isn’t the most athletic player and will likely never be considered among the league’s elite defensive players, the two-time NBA MVP is the perfect team player and is now officially an NBA champion after the Nuggets wiped the floor with the competition in the NBA playoffs.

Along with winning that elusive NBA title to cement his legacy as one of the best big men in league history, Jokic continues to rise up the ranks among historical figures in the sport with some impressive statistical milestones.

Not only has Jokic entertained Nuggets and NBA fans with his remarkable passing ability, but he’s also led his team in points, rebounds, and assists six times, which no other player in league history has ever done, including LeBron James, according to NBA on ESPN.

That’s an incredible statistical feat for Jokic, especially considering the fact he’s already passed James in that category and will likely continue to add to it moving forward as long as he can stay healthy with the Nuggets from here on out.

With the Nuggets and Jokic putting on a show from start to finish last season, it’ll be interesting to see what’s in store in Denver in the coming years and whether this team-first squad can continue to put it together and be the next team to beat in the NBA.
