The Denver Nuggets might not have won on Friday night but their biggest star still had a historic game.

Phoenix overtook Denver, earning a big 121-114 victory to bring the series to 2-1.

This came despite a truly legendary performance from Nikola Jokic.

The Nuggets big man scored 30 points, 17 rebounds, and 17 assists.

As noted by StatMuse, this makes Jokic the first center in NBA history with 20+ points, 15+ assists, and 10+ rebounds in a playoff game.

On one hand, this is a stunning effort from Jokic and a true sight to behold.

On the other hand, it’s not even that surprising at this point.

Jokic is clearly one of the best big men in NBA history and easily one of the greatest basketball players alive.

Although he won MVP twice over the last few years, this actually might be Jokic’s best season yet.

He averaged 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists during 2022-23.

He has matched or surpassed those numbers before in previous seasons but what makes this year different than other ones is how strong his team is.

The Nuggets were the top seed in the West for much of the season and they are now finding great success in the playoffs.

However, they were not able to pull out a win on Friday as Kevin Durant and Devin Booker looked downright unstoppable.

Still, the Nuggets hold a 2-1 lead over the Suns so there is still a strong chance they push through Phoenix and make the next round.

The Suns are a very tough team but no one should count out the Nuggets when Jokic is playing as he has been.
