The NBA has started gaining more traction this season, and there are a few explanations as to why that is the case.
The In-Season Tournament generated a lot of buzz in everyday sports media, helping drive viewership.
Star players are also starting to see a lot more spotlight, bringing fans to tune in to watch their favorite stars.
In a recent contest between the Denver Nuggets and the Chicago Bulls, Nikola Jokic was ejected, causing quite an uproar on social media.
Jokic’s ejection fell on Serbian Heritage Night in Chicago, giving the situation much more attention.
He commented on being thrown out after the game, as NBA Central pointed out on Twitter.
Jokic said, “I’m just happy that we didn’t play in Serbia, this game.”
“I’m just happy that we didn’t play in Serbia, this game. It’s could’ve been really fun to see how it would be handled.”

Jokic added, “It could’ve been really fun to see how it was handled.”
While these comments are somewhat ominous, Jokic ultimately seemed calm about the situation.
Ejections are a rare occurrence for one of the game’s biggest stars, and with this ejection being controversial, it made the situation all the more entertaining, at least from Jokic’s perspective.
This was his second ejection of the year, which has caused some fans to wonder if this will be a common theme for Jokic moving forward.
Regardless of what happens moving forward with Jokic, the Nuggets remain among the NBA’s best teams, especially in the Western Conference.
Even with Jokic for most of this game, they could still beat the Bulls, a sign that they have a well-rounded unit.
