The Denver Nuggets did what some people thought couldn’t be done.
They won their very first championship in franchise history, cementing themselves as one of the most dominant teams in the league this year and perhaps even paving the way for the beginning of a dynasty.
The funniest part is that they did all this with Nikola Jokic as their leading scorer, and he’s not your average NBA superstar.
Jokic is so careless about individual trophies or accolades that he recently admitted that he doesn’t even have a clue where his Finals MVP trophy is, via Malika Andrews.

That’s Jokic 101 right there.
Throughout the course of the playoffs, he broke history and set many marks and records, yet he couldn’t care less about them.
The very first thing that came out of his mouth when he won the NBA championship was that he just wanted to go home, and you know that he meant it from the bottom of his heart.
Jokic isn’t flashy at all and he doesn’t care about money or recognition; all he wants to do is play some hoops and then spend time with his family and his horses.
He’s a bit of a European Kawhi Leonard; a guy that keeps his private life private and focuses on basketball first and foremost.
There’s a big chance that we never get to know anything else about him once he’s done playing in the NBA, and truth be told, that might as well be just what he wants in life.
