The Denver Nuggets still have a chance to get the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
Then again, they’re beyond playoff seeding at this point.
They have to make sure to be healthy for when it counts, so they might have to sit Nikola Jokic out every now and then during this final stretch of the regular season.
Recently, the reigning NBA Finals MVP admitted that he’s feeling pain in his wrist every single time he shoots (via Harrison Wind).
Then again, Jokic also downplayed the injury, stating that he’s used to playing through pain.
Nikola Jokic on his wrist: “Hopefully it’s going to be a little bit better, just so I don’t feel it every time when I shoot. But it’s good. I’m used to it, dealing with the pain. It’s kind of normal for me.” pic.twitter.com/J03QoDX5KB

Everybody’s banged up at this point in the season.
Still, that doesn’t mean the Nuggets should take this lightly.
They’re already dealing with Jamal Murray and his lingering ailments, so they don’t want to have their best two players out with injuries when it really counts.
The Nuggets haven’t been as dominant this season as they were last year, but they should still be one of the strongest NBA championship candidates.
Mike Malone’s team is built for a seven-game series, and they’ve already been there and done that.
Jokic continues to be the best player in the game, and even if he’s not at full strength or is struggling with his shot, he’ll always find a way to make a positive impact.
His rebounding and playmaking and just the way he sees through defenses make him the ultimate triple-threat player, and hopefully, this nagging pain won’t be a factor in his game in the playoffs.
