The Denver Nuggets currently have one of the biggest sensations in the sports industry, and we don’t mean that just because he’s seven-feet tall.

Nikola Jokic has become a worldwide icon, one of the most popular players on Earth, and that’s not going to change any time soon.

That’s unfortunate for him, as you can tell that he honestly dislikes being recognized everywhere he goes.

He recently told his teammate Michael Porter Jr. for his “Curious Mike” podcast that he doesn’t like being famous (via Bleacher Report).

“It just feels sad, whenever you go to the bar, restaurant, some people … are just taking their phones out and trying to record you.”

He believes it’s rude for people to start taking pictures of him and recording him everywhere he goes, and he doesn’t care for the fans who just won’t leave him be.

Jokic talked about his desire to just disappear once he’s done playing in the NBA.

That’s just his personality, and it won’t change.

He’s not like the average NBA superstar; he just wants to hoop, spend some time with his family, and hit the track to watch his horses.

Notably, chances are that we won’t hear anything from him ever again once his playing days are over, at least not in the United States.

Jokic is an easygoing and simple man who doesn’t need all the fame and fortune that comes with his unmatched talents for the game of basketball.

In the meantime, however, he’s going to have to continue signing autographs and dealing with the thousands of fans who tune in to watch him dominate for the reigning NBA champions.
