Everyone knows that Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is one of the most special and talented NBA players alive.

He has already earned a place in league history and is truly a player unlike any other.

On Friday night, Jokic passed another career milestone.

According to Brett Usher, Jokic surpassed Michael Jordan for the all-time lead in PER, or player efficiency rating.

PER was created to rate a player’s per-minute productivity.

The rating uses a formula to include positive accomplishments on the court, such as field goals, three-pointers, assists, rebounds, free throws, and more.

It also incorporates negative factors, like missed shots, personal fouls, and turnovers too.

In total, PER is an attempt to really judge how a player performs and how they add to the team during every minute of a game.

It’s not surprising to see Jokic doing so well with his player efficiency rating, but it is shocking to see him surpass Jordan, who is considered the greatest NBA star of all time.

But when you watch a Nuggets game, you can see how Jokic has done that because he is actively a part of every aspect of Denver’s games, both offensively and defensively too.

This season, Jokic is averaging 25.7 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 9.1 assists.

He is a combination of all things: a dominant scorer and a wonderful playmaker who is able to create wonderful assists and propel his teammates to performing better too.

Jokic is currently the all-time leader when it comes to PER but both LeBron James and Anthony Davis aren’t too far behind him.

Will he end his career as the leader in this category or will Jokic be surpassed in the near future?
