The Denver Nuggets recently locked horns against the Chicago Bulls in the 2023-24 NBA season.
Even before the game started, most believed that the Nuggets would easily win the game.
While the Nuggets didn’t disappoint with the result, they did play without their best player for most of the game.
Yes, Nikola Jokic was ejected from the game during the second quarter after exchanging some words with a referee.
After the game, Nuggets head coach Michael Malone wasn’t angry about the result as he had a hilarious reaction to it, via HoopsHype on Twitter.
“When I heard what he said, I said I don’t understand the problem because when I grew up that was a term of endearment in my house,” Malone said.
Nikola Jokic to the ref: “Call the foul, motherf***er.”

Jokic apparently used NSFW language with the ref after he missed a clear foul call.
But even if Jokic talked to the referee using NSFW language, he should have been slammed with a technical foul.
However, the ref ejected the two-time NBA MVP.
As for Malone, he didn’t berate Jokic and pointed out that such small NSFW talk was a term of endearment in his house.
Prior to being ejected, Jokic played just 16 minutes in the game and had 4 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists to his name.
Jokic also shot 2-5 from the field.
But considering it was just the second quarter of the game, Jokic could have improved his stat line before the final buzzer.
Despite Jokic’s ejection, the Nuggets finished the job as they registered a 114-106 win over the Bulls.
