The very first NBA In-Season Tournament has been a resounding success in many ways.
While there are certainly some kinks to work out in the years ahead, fans and analysts have been blown away by the energy of the games and the output from players.
Monday night was another example of just how great these In-Season games can be and it also tightened up the betting odds of who will win it all in Las Vegas.
According to Ball Don’t Lie, BetMGM now has the Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans as the favorites to claim the inaugural NBA Cup.
They both are sitting at +275, while the Los Angeles Lakers have +450, the Indiana Pacers have +500, the Phoenix Suns hold +550, and the New York Knicks are at the bottom of the list with +1,000.

The consensus is in and Milwaukee and New Orleans have the most people believing in them but Monday night proved that anything can happen in the In-Season Tournament.
The Pelicans and Sacramento Kings battled it out in an intense game while the Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics fought hard in the East.
Some had predicted that the Celtics and Kings would come out on top but the win-or-go-home format of the second round eliminated them entirely.
On Tuesday night, the Bucks will square off against the Knicks while the Lakers will try to overtake Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and their Phoenix Suns.
It’ll be interesting to see what the odds say on Wednesday morning after another eventful night of basketball.
When the In-Season Tournament was announced, some critics didn’t think it would produce excitement and competitive games so early in the season.
But NBA players have proven that isn’t the case and they have transformed this brand-new idea into appointment television.
