The ink is now on paper, so it’s official: Odell Beckham Jr. is a Miami Dolphin.
This news would’ve been huge for the fans years ago, but that doesn’t mean he might not be able to make a big impact in South Beach at this point in his career.
Upon his signing, the former LSU star talked about how excited he was and how he couldn’t wait to get to work for his new team, via the Dolphins on Twitter.

Beckham went from making $15 million last season to roughly $3 million.
The Dolphins gave him an incentive-based deal that could be worth up to $8.4 million, and that speaks volumes about the state of his market right now.
People still have faith in him and his athleticism, but given his injury-proneness, he’s just going to have to earn that money with his production on the field.
Also, the Dolphins were one of the few teams that could’ve actually afforded to take that risk.
He’s not needed there, as they already have Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill.
Then again, you can never have too much talent at the wide receiver position, especially if you happen to have the most explosive offense in the game.
Beckham’s presence should draw defensive attention, which should open up more lanes for their speedsters to do their thing in the open field.
So, even if he’s not the player he once was and his numbers aren’t impressive, he should still be able to help this team take another leap in Mike McDaniel’s third season in charge.
