The Baltimore Ravens needed everyone to be at their best if they wanted to sweep the season series vs. the Cincinnati Bengals.
They knew this was going to be a physical game that could’ve gone down to the very last possession, and if it wasn’t for Joe Burrow’s injury, that might’ve been the case.
Notably, Odell Beckham Jr. wasn’t going to allow that.
The former New York Giants star turned back the clock to have his best performance since suffering another major injury in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago, hauling in four of seven targets for 116 yards and making some very explosive plays.
When asked about that, OBJ acknowledged that it was a long time coming, as he hadn’t been able to make the impact he hoped for because of his never-ending lingering pains (Brian Wacker).

The Ravens wanted to make sure to get OBJ the ball at all costs.
They paid nearly three times more than what he could’ve gotten somewhere else because they wanted to give Lamar Jackson another prime weapon.
However, he had a tough time proving that he could be — and stay — healthy and that he was still the dominant wideout he was in the earlier stages of his career.
Then again, the Ravens do have some other weapons, so it’s not like they relied solely on Beckham to get the job done.
Also, he suffered a shoulder injury, and while it’s not expected to be quite serious, he might have to take a game off to get back to full strength.
