Pacers Veteran Is Reportedly On The Trade Block

The Indiana Pacers hit a rough patch during the 2023-24 NBA season, but the team has seemingly recovered from it.

After all, the Pacers are currently on a six-game winning streak as they have jumped to the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

Despite playing well, that doesn’t mean the Pacers have entirely figured out their roster for the rest of the season.

In fact, according to recent rumors revealed by NBA insider Jake Fischer via NBACentral on Twitter, the Pacers have put guard/forward Buddy Hield on the trading block.

Prior to the 2023-24 NBA season, Buddy Hield was one of the hottest assets on the market, as he was regarded as an elite three-point shooter.

Although Hield is still shooting 38.1% from the three-point line this season, in the 2022-23 season, the veteran star shot 42.5%.

Keeping that in mind, Hield’s numbers have certainly gone down this season.

To be precise, Buddy Hield has averaged 12.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game for the Pacers this season over 33 games.

Sure, the Pacers have a 20-14 record right now, but they have four teams on their tail in the Eastern Conference that are just 0.5 games behind them.

Keeping that in mind, it’s high time for the Pacers to make a few changes to the roster, and trading away Buddy Hield could turn out to be the key for the team.

They can offload the veteran guard/forward to a team like the Lakers, who are in search of players who can shoot the ball well from the three-point line.
