In their first year without Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback in almost two decades, the Green Bay Packers surprised a number of people by earning a spot in this season’s playoffs.

The Packers’ first opportunity to make some noise in the postseason will come on Sunday when they travel to take on the NFC East champion Dallas Cowboys inside AT&T Stadium.

Helping Green Bay’s chances to pull off an upset is the possibility that wide receiver Christian Watson could potentially play in the contest after being out with a hamstring injury (via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Twitter).

#Packers WR Christian Watson, out since Dec. 3, will work out pregame to test his hamstring and determine if he can play today, source said. For the first time in a month, there is some optimism that he can go. But the workout is key.

Watson last appeared in a game for the Packers back in Week 13 during the team’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

During that matchup, the Green Bay receiver hauled in seven catches for 71 yards and two touchdowns.

Overall, Watson appeared in nine games for the Packers this season, accumulating a total of 28 receptions for 422 yards and five touchdowns.

Having him back on the field on Sunday would certainly help Green Bay’s chances to leave the Cowboys’ home stadium with a shocking victory.

Midway through the 2023 season, the Packers were sitting with a 2-5 record, and it seemed like the post-Rodgers era for the franchise was going terribly.

But then, Green Bay was able to finally figure out what they were good at, and it resulted in them winning seven of the final 10 games on their schedule.

That proved to be enough for the Packers to get into the playoffs, and now, one of the youngest teams in the NFL really has nothing to lose when they face Dallas on Sunday.
