The Indiana Pacers have officially done it.

After going down 3-2 in their second-round series against the New York Knicks, the Pacers found another gear and won the final two games.

The Pacers weren’t expected to be in this position, as many fans and analysts assumed the Knicks would take care of business.

Now that they’ve advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals, however, their fans are out in full force.

Pat McAfee is a noted Pacers fan, and he made sure to let his followers know that in a postgame tweet and video.

In his video he said, “Just little old Indianapolis,” indicating that the Pacers might be a small-market team, but they proved they can compete with the best teams in the league.

He also talked about the fact that the Pacers not only won this game, but they won with a healthy margin in Madison Square Garden, a notoriously difficult place to play.

It might be a historic building, but when it mattered most, the Pacers were able to take care of business and beat an upstart Knicks team.

Now, the Pacers are one series win away from the NBA Finals, somewhere they have not been as an organization since 2000.

They’ll have a tough test against the Boston Celtics, a team that many believe has the best chance of winning another ring for their franchise.

It will be interesting to see how that series plays out, and if the Pacers will be able to keep this run going against the best regular-season team in the league from this past year.
