Brett Favre is, without a doubt, one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.
Favre’s involvement in several scandals over the past couple of years has taken a massive toll on his reputation, and it’s safe to say that he’s no longer much of a fan favorite.
That’s why many people laughed when Pat McAfee name-dropped him during an appearance on the ESPN College GameDay broadcast.
Ahead of the Week opener between FSU and Georgia Tech, the controversial pundit cracked a joke.
They were talking about the Seminoles’ ongoing legal dispute with the ACC in a potential exit.
Truth to form, McAfee addressed his lack of legal expertise by reminding everybody that Favre had sued him in the past (via Awful Announcing).

For those who don’t know or don’t remember, the legendary quarterback sued McAfee and several other members of the media over alleged ‘defamatory comments’ about his involvement in a welfare scandal in Mississippi.
The former Indianapolis Colts punter stated that Favre had ‘stolen from the good people’ of the state, but Favre eventually dropped the charges.
The college football season hasn’t officially started yet, but it seems like ESPN is already getting their money’s worth with McAfee.
And while he’s a bit of a loose cannon and an unpredictable guy, he’s going to draw plenty of viewers to the network.
