Patrick Beverley Has An Honest Admission About His Time With Lakers

Not many people thought the Los Angeles Lakers had a realistic shot at competing with the team they fielded to start last season.

The fit was terrible, and getting off to a 2-10 start to the season made it more than clear that something needed to change.

They had signed Patrick Beverley to bring some defensive prowess to the backcourt, but he was mostly brutal offensively and wasn’t bringing a lot to the table, up to the point where he eventually requested a trade out of the organization.

Then, looking back on his time there during his sit-down with D’Angelo Russell for the latest episode of his podcast, Beverley finally admitted he wasn’t having a good time dressed in Purple and Gold.

That’s far from a surprise, as Beverley didn’t waste a single second to take multiple shots at the Lakers and their fans as soon as he was traded away from the team.

Even so, he claimed that the team should’ve given him a ring if they won a championship, even though he didn’t exactly ball out in Los Angeles.

Beverley is a larger-than-life character, and he’ll always speak his mind about everything and will never mince his words.

It’s also evident that the Lakers didn’t have a lot of chemistry going on when they first started the season, and that roster overhaul was exactly what they needed to thrive.

Now, they will have a chance to keep building on that momentum and get the job done next season, hopefully having a better time.
