Bronny James has already been through a lot and he hasn’t even played in a regular season NBA game.
Even before he was drafted, James was receiving a ton of attention and a lot of it was negative.
Speaking on his podcast, Patrick Beverley defended James and said that he has taken “everybody’s punch” at a young age and handled it well.
“You go and take everyone’s best shot at you,” Beverley said.

Beverley praised how James has remained composed during all of this, including after his scary cardiac arrest episode last summer.
Through it all, James has continued to believe in himself and stayed focused on playing the best basketball possible.
His time in the Summer League has been complicated, to put it gently.
He got off to a very rough start but showed a lot more promise in his last two games.
To some, this was yet another example of James pushing through the pressure of playing on such a big stage and remaining laser-focused on getting better.
People are very interested to see how James performs in the upcoming season.
Whether it be in the G League or alongside his father with the Lakers, the pressure and expectations will be even bigger for James.
Every game and point and move will be watched closely by millions and James is going to hear numerous reviews after each game.
But Beverley says he has proven that he can handle that and it won’t weigh him down.
It is true that James has been through a lot already but things are about to get even more intense.
