Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs can become one of the first teams to repeat as Super Bowl champions in decades if they beat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in Super Bowl LVIII.

Mahomes had a down year by his standards, but he’s looked like his superstar self during the 2023 NFL Playoffs.

The quarterback led the Chiefs to wins over the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens but now faces his toughest test in a 49ers team that is looking for revenge.

Mahomes has Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice to help keep the chains moving, though the signal caller has also been forced to use his legs more when the pocket crumbles.

However, there’s no one like Mahomes in the league that can extend and make plays when under duress.

Growing up, Mahomes got the chance to watch some of the game’s best quarterbacks and revealed his top four to watch as a kid via High Point Sports.

Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers had strong arms and could extend plays with their legs, while Matthew Stafford had all the arm talent in the world.

Meanwhile, Mahomes also acknowledged watching Tony Romo a lot because he grew up near Dallas.

Those four quarterbacks all shared similar traits with Mahomes, but the Chiefs star is by the best of the bunch.

If Mahomes can capture his third Super Bowl ring, it will be hard to argue against him and Tom Brady being the best to ever play the position.
