The Kansas City Chiefs are the team to beat in the National Football League right now, and as such, they’re just must-watch television.
You never know what’s going to happen with Patrick Mahomes out there.
He’s become the best quarterback in the game of football, not only for his résumé or his numbers but also because of his craftiness and all the things he does.
He’s not the first to throw no-look passes or extend plays with his feet.
However, opposing defenses just don’t know how to prepare or what to expect from him, and adding that behind-the-back pass to his repertoire could only open up things for him even more.
Even so, it’s not like he intended to do that.
When asked about that play, he revealed that he was actually mad at Travis Kelce for not running the route he was supposed to run (via NFL).
.@tkelce ran the wrong route, so @patrickmahomes threw it behind his back because he was mad at him.
“Out of spite, I threw a behind-the-back pass.”

Mahomes then said that he threw the ball to him out of spite, not knowing that it would end up being a highlight.
The Super Bowl champion had been practicing that throw, but he had previously stated that he wouldn’t do it in a game — it had to come naturally with the groove of things.
The Chiefs can hurt you in a variety of ways, and if they start making this kind of play as well, it’s just over; there’s no point in even trying anymore.
