The 2023 NFL Season wasn’t precisely what the New England Patriots expected.
The Patriots are on pace to have their worst record in over 30 years, currently sitting at 3-10.
At this point in the year, it might be difficult for this team to muster positivity or much energy, mainly since they are eliminated from the playoffs.
However, before their upcoming game with the Kansas City Chiefs, Jonathan Jones joined “Good Morning Football,” seemingly excited to face Patrick Mahomes.
Jones discussed the Chiefs’ abilities to win any game they participate in, saying, “You have to be on key all throughout the game.”

Jones pointed to the Chiefs’ ability to beat teams from ahead, coming from behind, and sneaking out wins.
In his mind, the Patriots will need to put their best foot forward if they want to compete in this game, a contest they are currently viewed as 7.5-point underdogs at home.
This is despite the Chiefs losing their last two games, including a surprising loss to the Buffalo Bills last week.
It will be interesting to see how this game plays out, given the current state of both teams.
With reports surfacing about Bill Belichick being done after this season, the Patriots’ spirits might be down, knowing they likely only have a few more games with Belichick as their coach.
On the flip side, this team might fight much harder for Belichick for the rest of the year because they know his days with the team are seemingly limited, wanting to put their best foot forward in his final games.
