New England Patriots fans have been said to be some of the most loyal fans in the NFL.

Of course, it’s been relatively easy to be a fan of the team for the better part of the past two decades, as they’ve been the most successful team in the league during that span.

Things have changed since Tom Brady left in terms of playoff success, but their fans have been waiting for the team’s next opportunity at a Lombardi Trophy.

After a few tries at finding a new franchise quarterback, the Patriots decided to go big in this year’s draft, selecting Drake Maye with the No. 3 overall pick.

Maye has struggled at training camp at times, but for the most part, that is being chalked up to him being a rookie with limited experience.

Some analysts have expressed an uneasiness of Maye starting in Week 1 for the Patriots, but the fanbase seems to disagree.

As highlighted by Patriots on CLNS Media, fans have been chanting “Start Drake Maye” during training camp, particularly when Jacoby Brissett gets opportunities with the team.

Brissett, of course, is an NFL veteran who is trying to continue his career with the Patriots.

He has started for this team before, but there’s a reason the team brought in Maye to compete for the starting job.

The fans don’t want to see Brissett any longer, as Maye is the new guy in town who represents life and a renewed sense of hope that they haven’t had recently.
