The past few years have been a struggle for the New England Patriots.
After losing Tom Brady to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this team felt like they were bound to take a slight step back.
While nobody predicted this team’s significant downfall, the Patriots face this reality as they seek to find a new franchise quarterback.
Many believe the Patriots will seek to find their guy in this year’s draft, given their position as no. 3 overall.
If this year’s quarterback prospects pan out as many anticipate, they could find the quality of player they have been searching for.
As this team prepares to have a new QB under center, they must also consider who their new investment will be throwing to.
It appears that the Patriots are excited about what Kendrick Bourne can do in this offense, regardless of who his new quarterback will be.
According to Adam Schefter, the Patriots are signing Bourne to a three-year contract, a deal that could be worth up to $33 million.

Not a bad payday for a player coming off an ACL tear.
It will be interesting to see how Bourne recovers from his injury and his role in this offense with a new quarterback.
The Patriots’ receiving room is slated to undergo much change throughout the offseason, but Bourne now looks to be a strong, veteran piece on this team.
After seeing this team struggle over the past few seasons, the front office wanted to make some big changes, which included a shift in their coaching regime.
Will all of this work amount to a better season in 2024?
