The New England Patriots have been in a rebuilding period since Tom Brady’s departure.

They might have made the playoffs in 2021, but their production has been on a steady decline over the past two seasons.

Many believed Mac Jones could make a significant impact on the organization when he was drafted, but it was quickly made clear that he wasn’t the team’s long-term answer.

Now, the team has turned to Drake Maye, a player that they took with the No. 3 overall pick in this year’s draft.

With any luck, Maye will be able to solve a lot of the team’s woes, hopefully getting them back to a place of consistent success.

While there was a lot of optimism and excitement surrounding Maye when he was drafted, he seemed to struggle in the first few days of OTAs.

However, adjusting to the NFL can be a tough task for anyone, and it seems like he’s starting to find his footing again.

Tom E Curran via NBC Sports Boston recently discussed Maye’s growth, saying, “He looked to me as if he had taken a step forward from last week.”

This is great news for Patriots fans.

Maye might have a long way to go over the next few months, but the fact that he is improving is a positive sign.

It is concerning when a player struggles for so long during OTAs, but that doesn’t seem to be the case for Maye.

Maye and the Patriots will have a tough road ahead of them in 2024 to make the playoffs, but they seem ready for the challenge.
