The talented rookie missed the past two games with a concussion he suffered in his team’s Week 12 loss to the New York Giants.
Notably, that was also his second concussion of the season, and given the way the league is handling those cases, it wasn’t shocking to see him missing more than just one game.
Despite missing time, the sixth-round pick currently leads the team with 410 yards on 36 grabs, although he has yet to score his first touchdown of the season — and his career.
This pretty much speaks volumes of the current state of the Patriots’ offense.
Still, they’ve fared slightly better with Bailey Zappe taking over Mac Jones, so perhaps he’ll finally be able to get to the end zone during the matchup with Patrick Mahomes and his team.
Douglas, rookie Kayshon Boutte, and DeVante Parker all missed the team’s win over the Pittsburgh Steelers with injuries.
