With the New England Patriots recently parting ways with quarterback Mac Jones and legendary head coach Bill Belichick, the storied NFL franchise is headed into a new era and looking for a young quarterback to build around moving forward.

Fortunately for New England, the team has the No. 3 overall pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, which puts the Patriots in prime position to bring in one of the best quarterback prospects in this draft class, which is fairly deep.

Although the Patriots likely won’t have a shot at Caleb Williams out of the University of Southern California, who will almost certainly be taken at No. 1 overall by the Chicago Bears, New England will be able to bring in Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, or J.J. McCarthy at No. 3 overall.

With the Patriots having the benefit of being in a good position to bring in a talented young quarterback, the team is bringing in Daniels for a visit next week, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network via Around The NFL.

The reigning Heisman Trophy winner is widely considered to be one of the most talented quarterbacks in this draft and a potential franchise player, which would give the Patriots what they want moving forward.

Along with Daniels, the Patriots are also bringing Maye in for a visit at some point, even though the Washington Commanders could take him at No. 2.

The Commanders are also looking to add a young quarterback to its roster through the draft, as Washington is also at the beginning of a rebuilding process.
