The New England Patriots could be in the market for a cornerback.
According to ESPN insider Field Yates, the team recently worked out veteran cornerback Caleb Farley.
“The 25-year-old was a first-round pick of the Titans in 2021, but injuries have limited (Farley) to just 12 games played in his career,” Yates wrote on social media earlier this week.

A rebuilding team like the Patriots can certainly afford to bring in almost anybody for a workout considering they aren’t likely to contend this year.
Farley is a unique case because he is still just 25.
The former All-ACC defender out of Virginia Tech was a first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans back in 2021 but became a free agent earlier this offseason.
The reason he was not extended by the Titans was because of his injury history.
He has played in just 12 games over three years and has just 14 total tackles to his name.
Again, still just 25, Farley could have his whole career in front of him if he remains healthy moving forward.
All he may need is a simple change of scenery.
Now seemingly healthy, if Farley ends up signing a contract with the Pats, he could be another talented, former first-round pick on New England’s defense.
With yet another defensive-minded head coach in Jerod Mayo now leading the way, this team is looking to win games with defense, especially considering they drafted a rookie quarterback in Drake Maye in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft and are rolling with a predominant career backup in Jacoby Brissett for Week 1.
