The New England Patriots are coming off a rough 4-13 season where they scored the second-fewest points in the NFL at just 13.9 per game, and a big reason for that was the lackluster wide receiver room that caught just five total touchdown passes all year.
Given the poor showing by the WR unit last season, it’s nice to see an early viral moment out of training camp as one wideout made an incredible one-handed catch.
Patriot RedZone shared a clip from camp of rookie quarterback Drake Maye launching a beauty deep down the right sideline and dropping it right in the corner of the end zone where Jalen Reagor was able to pull off an impressive one-handed grab for the touchdown.

Reagor caught just seven passes in 11 games last season in his first year with the organization, and he has failed to live up to the hype as the 21st-overall pick in the 2020 draft, and if he can start doing things like this more often it would go a long way toward helping out his new rookie QB.
He is still buried deep on the depth chart as Kendrick Bourne, DeMario Douglas, and rookie Ja’Lynn Polk project as the top three options with JuJu Smith-Schuster and newcomer K.J. Osborn also in his way.
Nobody on this roster has emerged as a legitimate WR1, so there is plenty of room for Reagor to earn more opportunities if he can start making flashes like this with any sort of regularity.
We need all the viral videos we can get from training camp to keep us satiated until the season starts.
