It’s been a while since Deion Sanders last played in the NFL or the MLB, but he continues to have a lot of pull in the sports community.

He turned a small program like Colorado into the talk of the nation and got celebrities in attendance at Boulder, and it seems like everything he gets involved in will make the headlines.

That’s why, now that Lincoln Riley is reportedly on the hot seat at USC, lifelong sports analyst Paul Finebaum believes Sanders could be his logical replacement.

Of course, that makes sense on paper, but it remains to be seen whether the Buffaloes will silence the doubters this season or not.

Also, Sanders might not be interested in the bright lights that come with high-end programs, which is why he coached Jackson State and then Colorado.

For now, Coach Prime is only focused on next season and getting his two sons, Shedeur and Shilo, prepared for their future in the National Football League.

He’s clearly not in it for the fame and definitely not for the money, so it’s hard to predict what he’s going to do next in his coaching career.

Still, it’s hard to argue with Finebaum’s logic, and having Sanders in Southern California would be one of the biggest stories in sports.
