Paul George was already interested in the idea of moving to the Philadelphia 76ers a few weeks ago but the team was insistent on really making its case.

Therefore, they produced a recruitment video that spoke to George about all the highlights and benefits of coming to the Sixers.

Speaking on his podcast, per myke on Twitter, George revealed who appeared in the recruiting tool.

He said that Saquon Barkley, Lil Dicky, Kevin Hart, and Mike Trout all popped up in the video, telling George why he should leave the Los Angeles Clippers and try his hand with the 76ers.

The video obviously did its job because George agreed to a deal with the team just days later.

The video might have been helpful but it wasn’t the only reason why George packed his bags and headed east.

First and foremost, he wants to play for a team that has a chance of winning big in the postseason.

As promising as the Clippers have been for the last five years, they haven’t come close to winning a Finals and that surely doesn’t sit well with George.

Additionally, George wanted to play for a team that was willing to give him the sort of contract he desired.

The Clippers made it very clear that they weren’t willing to play ball with him in that regard and he was consistently disappointed with their offers.

Finally, the idea of playing alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey was just too good for George to pass up.

Taken together, all of these factors made the 76ers a clear choice and it seems that George is very happy with it.
