The San Antonio Spurs made a big move to sign veteran point guard Chris Paul to a one-year deal this offseason.
He will now get to play with young phenom Victor Wembanyama and for legendary head coach Gregg Popovich.
Former NBA champion Paul Pierce recently joined “Undisputed” to chat about the move.
“Every young star needs a valuable vet in the locker room,” Pierce said.

Pierce is, of course, referring to young star Wembanyama, who can now benefit from valuable vet Paul being there.
Paul is about to enter his 20th NBA season, and Wembanyama is about to enter his second.
What Paul has seen in his two decades in the NBA can be so valuable for the growth of the French center.
Wembanyama, who led the league in blocks as a rookie last season, can become an even more complete player on both ends of the court.
What is scary about that is that he is already averaging more than 20 points and 10 rebounds per game.
He can become better at communicating, as well as in the pick-and-roll game.
The brainpower in the room with Popovich and Paul is also an intriguing piece of the puzzle, even though San Antonio likely won’t win a title this coming season.
After all, they won just 22 games last season, and the 39-year-old Paul likely won’t change things by a wide margin.
But his knowledge of the game and leadership can help breathe life into a younger roster that could use some more veteran energy and experience.
