One of the major debates regarding the NBA is about comparing all-time great players.
Most fans always talk about LeBron James vs Michael Jordan but many other comparisons can be had.
The most recent one is between Paul Pierce and Dwyane Wade.
Pierce went on the “Dan Le Batard Show” to discuss how he was a better player than Wade.
Pierce said, “My skills went unappreciated because I didn’t get to play with a lot of great players.”

He even mentioned how if he got to play with LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Shaquille O’Neal that he would have won more championships.
Pierce was a part of one championship team in his career with the Boston Celtics.
He played with two Hall of Fame players in Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.
But there are some holes in Pierce’s argument.
For one, when Wade won his first championship in Miami it was with a 33-year-old Shaq.
O’Neal averaged 20.0 points and 9.2 rebounds that year.
Wade carried that Heat team to the championship.
That title was more impressive than the one Pierce won in Boston.
Also, Wade was a substantially better defensive player than Pierce.
But that side of the floor was not even mentioned.
Wade made three all-defensive teams compared to Pierce’s zero.
All things considered, it is interesting to compare these two legends.
But Wade has a stronger resume which makes him one of the greatest shooting guards of all time.
