Paul Pierce Has A Message About Bronny James’ Summer League Struggles

Bronny James was advertised as a 3-and-D player who could make an immediate impact on defense at the NBA level.

That hasn’t been shown in the Summer League just yet.

The ‘3’ part of the 3-and-D status hasn’t been shown at all, as he’s gone 0-for-12 from beyond the arc through 3 games.

As for the defense, he’s shown glimpses of great play, but he’s also gotten beaten very badly in some situations.

Nonetheless, Paul Pierce isn’t worried about him at all.

In the latest edition of Undisputed, he reminded everyone that no one should read too much into the Summer League.

However, Pierce did show some concerns about his shot-making, or lack thereof.

Pierce stated that it doesn’t matter how much of a good defender you are, you’re not going to be on the floor unless you can knock down shots.

Then again, it’s hard to understand why people expected anything different from Bronny just because he’s LeBron James’ son.

We’ve seen multiple sons of former stars not be as good as their parents, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Bronny isn’t a finished product by any means, but this is the exact same player he was at USC.

He was the No. 55 pick for a reason, even in one of the weakest draft classes of all time.
