Even though he has his fair share of haters, Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce was still one of the best players of his generation.

One could argue he was never a top-10 player or an MVP candidate, but he was usually the best player on one of the most storied franchises in the league, even when the team wasn’t exactly competitive.

Pierce has done a lot of talking since he retired, and some tend to feel like he remembers his career to be way better than it actually was.

Then again, he has bragging rights over 99% of social media hoopers, which is why he took to Twitter to call his haters out again.

No game no face to face talk game y’all all internet

That comes just hours after he claimed to be better than 99.9% of basketball players on social media, and he might be right.

As much as we might feel tempted to think that we can beat an NBA player one-on-one, even a retired one, chances are that’s not going to happen.

The NBA features nothing but the best in terms of talent, preparation, and athleticism, and even a bottom-of-the-bench kind of guy should be able to dominate and give us buckets ten times out of ten.

Pierce is a Finals MVP and an NBA champion, and undeniably one of the greatest players in Celtics history, and that’s more than even some NBA players could brag about.

So, yeah, he may not be as good as he says he is, but he’s still better than the average NBA star.
