Paul Pierce says he’s not worried about the Boston Celtics, at least not yet.

The Celtics were trumped by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday evening, losing 118-94 at home in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Even though Pierce thinks the Celtics will still win this series, he didn’t like what he saw from his former team.

He said that he expected more from both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and warned Boston that they cannot get complacent or else they are going to fail even more.

Tatum scored 25 points, going 7-of-17 from the floor, while Brown scored 19, shooting the exact same 7-of-17.

Pierce said that the Celtics need to do a lot better in the days ahead to erase the memory of this game from fans’ minds.

The Celtics are such a strong team that any time they lose there is cause for concern among the fanbase.

They are also one of the best home teams in the league so the fact that they lost in Boston is even more concerning, especially by such a wide margin.

Still, Pierce is right to have faith in this team because they have come back strong from defeats before.

They are a very adaptable team under head coach Joe Mazzulla.

However, losing a home game is never a good sign in the playoffs and now the Celtics have to travel to Cleveland to try and even the series.

With this single win, the momentum is shifting in favor of the Cavaliers and that could greatly affect how they play in Game 3.

If the Celtics lose the next game, Pierce and many others are going to have much harsher things to say about them.
