The Minnesota Timberwolves are still in contention.

They needed to be almost perfect to overcome the Dallas Mavericks and force Game 5, and they did so.

Unsurprisingly, Anthony Edwards was their best player in the win.

The former No. 1 pick had left some to be desired in the first three games of the series, especially with his scoring, so he believed now that his back was against the wall.

WIth that in mind, former NBA star Paul Pierce gave him his flowers.

In the latest edition of “Undisputed,” the retired small forward gave Edwards an A+ grade, praising him for the way he took care of business and inspired his teammates.

Pierce claimed that Edwards never looked fazed or out of his head in the game.

He thinks he’s truly capable of making history, and that was obviously a big inspiration for the rest of the team, including Karl-Anthony Towns.

Towns finally had a good game in the series, scoring 25 points to go along with five rebounds and four three-pointers.

His aggressiveness on the block opens up plenty of space for Edwards to be at his best, and the Timberwolves need to build off this momentum to stay alive when the series heads back home.

No team has been able to come back from a 0-3 deficit in the history of the playoffs, but it’s due to happen at some point.

This may or may not be the case when it happens, but Edwards will always give his team a chance when he plays this well.
