The New York Knicks are back home, and that’s a tough pill for the fans to swallow.

To add insult to injury, Boston Celtics great Paul Pierce was ruthless to them following the elimination.

Pierce recorded himself stomping on Jalen Brunson’s jersey, which obviously didn’t sit well with plenty of fans.

That’s why, in today’s edition of “Undisputed,” the controversial forward finally explained why he did what he did.

Pierce claimed that it actually had nothing to do with Brunson and that he actually likes and respects his game.

However, he was just sick and tired of Knicks fans, so he wanted to get on their nerves.

That’s classic Paul Pierce right there.

The Knicks have one of the biggest, most loyal, and loudest fan bases in the game.

They haven’t had many chances to celebrate over the years, so they can be a little extra when things go right for them.

Notably, Knicks fans chanted that they wanted to face the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals, so it was only right that Pierce decided to get back at them with this.

Knicks fans should’ve known better than to talk trash before his team even made it to the next round, but that still doesn’t justify Pierce disrespecting Brunson.

Even so, that’s just what happens when you fall short, and the players must take this as inspiration to come back stronger and better next season.

As for the Celtics, Pierce better hope that they take care of business, or his mentions will be full of Knicks fans.
