When the Finals were starting, Dallas Mavericks fans said the Boston Celtics were about to experience the wrath of Kyrie Irving.

Now, two games into the series, Irving hasn’t been much of a problem for the Celtics.

He has only averaged 14 points per game, shooting 35% from the field and not landing a single three-pointer.

On Monday’s “Undisputed,” Paul Pierce said that Irving has been a ten on the disappointment scale and needs to turn things around as soon as possible.

Irving has hit a dry spell at the worst possible time.

He had been playing fabulous basketball during the playoffs and followers of the Mavericks were expecting big things from him

But now that Dallas is facing off against Boston, Irving can’t seem to get it together.

It’s not clear why this is happening, since he was doing such great things only a couple of weeks ago.

Since leaving the team, Irving has always had a hard time against the Celtics.

They seem to have his number and he has admitted they are consistently difficult for him.

That isn’t good enough for Mavericks fans because Irving has plenty of experience in the postseason and has done tremendous things during the playoffs throughout his career.

For whatever reason, he isn’t doing that now.

The next game is scheduled for Wednesday night and Irving absolutely has to have a good performance.

His team is dangerously close to being in a 0-3 hole, which is historically impossible to come back from.

If the Mavericks aren’t able to bounce back in this series, there will be countless people blaming Irving.

He has been a no-show so far but Irving still has time to redeem himself and help his team win.
