Just a few days ago, most people thought the New York Knicks were on their way to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Now, after a couple of harsh losses, the conversation around the team has drastically changed.

On Monday’s “Undisputed,” Paul Pierce said that the Knicks are “cooked” following a massive defeat at the hands of the Indiana Pacers.

He said New York’s Cinderella story has come to an end and they cannot recover from what the Pacers just did to them.

“The Knicks are COOKED. The Cinderella run is over.”

Indiana handed New York a shocking 121-89 loss on Sunday afternoon and now the series is tied at 2-2.

Pierce said that the Knicks had been playing well for ages but eventually had to face reality.

The stars who were playing better than ever are now seeming more normal and the injuries have added up.

Every member of the Knicks is playing a lot of minutes because the roster is so depleted by injuries.

The team is talented, driven, and wants to win, but they are exhausted after a very long regular season and the draining playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Pacers have found their footing, especially lead star Tyrese Haliburton.

All together, this spells very bad news for the Knicks.

Although Pierce says the Knicks are cooked, they are not out of this series yet.

They are now headed back to New York and the rowdy and boisterous Madison Square Garden crowd will give them some wind in their sails.

Plus, they may be invigorated after their tough defeat on Sunday and could be playing better and possibly grab a 3-2 lead.

Things have gotten much rockier for the Knicks over the last few days and now they have to prove Pierce wrong and show they still have some fight in them.
