No one was entirely sure how well Kevin Durant would play for Team USA during their game against Serbia on Sunday.

He had spent a lot of time sidelined because of a nagging calf injury and wasn’t able to practice often with the rest of his team.

But that didn’t matter at all and Durant put up an amazing 23-point game.

On Monday’s “Undisputed,” Paul Pierce was in awe of Durant.

“KD is just a baller…He don’t need no practice,” Pierce said.

Pierce said that Durant is the definition of “plug and play.”

It doesn’t matter how long he’s been on the bench and how little practice he’s had, he is so naturally skilled that he can be put into any situation and help his team win.

Durant was the best performer for Team USA and was literally perfect at the start of his time on the court.

Partly because of him, the Americans beat Serbia and are now one step closer to a gold medal.

The good news is that they will be moving forward with Durant healthy and ready to play as much as head coach Steve Kerr needs him.

Sunday’s game confirmed that his calf is much better and he is physically in great shape.

The Olympics mean a lot to Durant and this is his fourth and possibly last time to win a gold medal.

His chances of reaching that goal are much more likely after Sunday’s incredible start.

Durant is a natural leader, an unstoppable scorer, and one of the smartest basketball minds in the league.

Sunday’s game was proof of that.
