Bronny James recently submitted his name for the 2024 NBA Draft but no one is entirely sure what will happen with the son of LeBron.

He could be drafted in the first or second round, possibly by the Los Angeles Lakers, or he could remain in college next year.

Speaking on Tuesday’s “Undisputed,” Paul Pierce proposed a very interesting idea.

He said that if the Lakers don’t make it out of the Play-In Tournament, or lose in the first round of the postseason, LeBron should ask for a trade back to the Cleveland Cavaliers and have that team draft his son.

Obviously, if James did want that sort of trade, the Lakers would demand a lot in return for him.

Pierce thinks Donovan Mitchell could be a suitable replacement for James, especially because there is a growing consensus that he doesn’t want to remain with the Cavaliers much longer.

If James did move back to Cleveland, he could spend his last few years in the league with his son.

That is something he has always wanted and has publicly said he’d move to suit up alongside Bronny.

What are the chances of this actually happening?

If Bronny decides that he wants to remain in the draft, the Lakers will likely use their pick to land him.

Not only would this make LeBron happy, but it would also give them a young player who could be developed over the years.

While he may not have had an amazing freshman season with USC, Bronny definitely does have some potential and could grow a lot in the future.

LA doesn’t want to risk losing LeBron to the Cavaliers or any other team.

They want him happy and know that signing his son could make that happen.
