Unless something shocking happens, it’s the end of the road for Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans.
According to Marc Stein, via NBACentral, Ingram has “likely played his last game as a Pelican.”
This isn’t very surprising for anyone paying attention to the Pelicans lately.
Many analysts have predicted Ingram would be on the move this summer, even though he has done terrific things for the Pelicans during his five seasons in New Orleans.
Now everyone is paying close attention to where Ingram lands.

During his years with the Pelicans, Ingram has put up 23.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game.
He has really become a star in New Orleans and has helped carry the team during the many absences of Zion Williamson.
Despite that, conventional wisdom has said Ingram will be on the move this offseason.
The Pelicans have been contemplating their future and which star they will back: Ingram or Williamson.
They have obviously made up their minds that the future of the team rests with Williamson and they are ready to part ways with Ingram.
But who and what will the Pelicans get in exchange for Ingram?
At just 26 years old, Ingram still has many years left in him and has remained reliable over the years.
He’s the sort of shooter that numerous teams would love to have and he could truly assist several franchises.
With Ingram seemingly on the move, it seems that the Pelicans are about to double down on Williamson.
That means they could be making other moves aside from just losing Ingram.
A trade with Ingram could be the start of many big changes in New Orleans this summer.
