Herb Jones is easily one of the best defenders for the New Orleans Pelicans.
His brand of defense has helped the team in some very important moments against some incredibly impressive opponents.
But he could block perhaps the greatest player of all time?
Legion Hoops asked the hypothetical question, “Could any current NBA player lock up a prime Michael Jordan?”
Larry Nance Jr. jumped on to Twitter to praise his teammate.
“NOT. ON. HERB,” Nance simply said.
NOT. ON. HERB. https://t.co/MIkFiZMp25

This isn’t the first time that Nance has spoken out in support of his teammate and friend.
Last season, Jones missed out on being part of the NBA All-Defensive First and Second-Team selections.
Although Jones earned 15 second-team votes, that wasn’t enough to qualify and Nance wasn’t happy about it.
Jones has only been in the league for two seasons now and is still an unknown commodity to some.
He has averaged 9.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists during his career.
Multiple stars have spoken about how tough Jones is on the floor.
There is speculation that within a few years, he won’t only earn a position on an All-Defensive team, but perhaps could be in contention for Defensive Player of the Year too.
But that doesn’t mean he could really shut down vintage Jordan.
Jordan was a player unlike any before or after him.
Between his quickness and unparalleled shooting skills, it was sometimes impossible to stop him.
There is always debate about which modern players could actually compete against Jordan.
This won’t be the last time that someone claims a current star could take His Airness down.
